Turnipseed.
As in “Turnip” and “Seed,” two easy words.
How is that hard.
And yet.
Every.
Damn.
Time.

wait your last name is Turnipseed?
I know this probably shouldn’t amuse me but it does

All my life. It’s Kirsten. It’s not kerr-stin. It’s not kristin. It’s keer-stin. Kirsten. But since I’m SO USED to it being mispronounced, my friends notice when someone does it before I do.

I always say, if it spells / sounds like a dirty word, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG.

My name is “Alexandra”, but everyone always says “Alexandria”.  My name does NOT have an i in it.

Okay, there are so many ways to spell “Kaitlyn”. So. Many. Ways. There were three of us in my fourth grade class. All with different spellings. We had to go by Kate, Kaitie, and Caitlin to make sense of it. The subs hated us.

My last name is ALWAYS pronounced as if the double L is a Y, or that I have an I at the end, which I DO NOT, or that I have a U in the beginning, WHICH IT DOESN’T, and my favorite, a combination of all three. Gu-ee-y-ee-an. Totally not right compared to G-i-ll-en. Srsly. Sound it out.

M-A-D-E-L-E-I-N-E.
MADELEINE. NOT MADELINE LIKE IN THE OLD HOUSE IN PARIS THAT WAS COVERED WITH VINES LIVED TWELVE LITTLE GIRLS AND THE SMALLEST WAS MADELINE. Madeleine. Mad-uh-lyn.

My name is Reilly. Not Riley. Or Riely. Or Reily. R-E-I-L-L-Y. As in O’Reilly. Which actually was my family’s name, until they moved to Scotland and some generation struck off the O.

My name is not Megan, Meagan, Megaen, Meggan, or Magen. It is Meghan! See that little ‘h’ after the ‘g’? Please please please don’t forget that, it isn’t that hard to forget. It is sad when the secretary at a school I went to for five years, still can’t spell my name right. If you can’t spell my name right, just call me Meg and don’t make me suffer through having to constantly correct how you spell my name.

I’m guessing because my last name is a germanic name soooo but yeah my last name is woeppel (pronouced WI-pp-el ) it’s get’s pronouced woahpeel, whipeel wahpill and all sorts of stupid stuff

It’s pronounced ‘Hannah’, not ‘Anna’

My last name.
It’s -ith, not -ffin!
